Pre-release details of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2: no Denuvo, early release time, and absence from Game Pass

The upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 from Saber Interactive has received some technical details that will be useful to know before its release on September 9.

On Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles, gamers will have access to two graphics modes: “Quality” with 4K resolution and 30 FPS, and “Performance” with 1080p resolution and up to 60 FPS. The Xbox Series S will only have the “Quality” mode with 1440p resolution and 30 FPS.

At launch, the game will use DLSS 2 and FSR 2 technologies, with DLSS 3 and FSR 3 versions to be added later in a future update. It is also worth noting that the game will not support ray tracing and HDR.

By the end of 2024, the game will be compatible with the Steam Deck and will support the DualSense controller (possibly at launch).

There will be no anti-piracy protection systems, including Denuvo, in the game.

Cross-progression and cross-play between platforms will not be supported.

The developers do not currently plan to add mod support. The game will not be available in Game Pass but will be provided in the GeForce Now cloud service.
